Nook Dee Boutique Resort, previously known as Nook Dee Kata Beach Resort, is a hidden gem of tranquillity and luxury in Phuket.

The 5-star hotel is elevated on the hillside facing Kata Noi beach and the westside coast of Phuket. Stay at Nook Dee Boutique Resort and YOU can be entitled to this breath-taking view, right from your room!

Nook Dee is located near Kata-Sai Yuan road, a convenient drive from Kata Beach or Kata Noi towards Nai Harn Beach. Up to 400 meters up the hill, look out for the “Nook Dee Resort” sign. After the turn, the resort is about 150 meters away. For travellers renting a car, the hotel also offers parking.

Next to the entrance is the open lobby and reception.

Decorated in a contemporary Vermont style, the furnishing really puts you in a comfortable and relaxing state. From here, enjoy your welcome drink of Thai herbal water, served in a small bowl, accompanied by the lush and scenic view.

The warm tropical weather made it very hard to resist jumping straight into pool next to the lobby. I was just too curious to see the view that awaits over the edge of the infinity pool overlooking Kata Noi Bay.

I checked in to a Deluxe Sea View Room on the top floor of the resort. The size of this cosy room is about 34 square metres, perfect for couples and small families to share. The room took me on a visual trip with its brightly coloured fabrics. On the bed, an array of different coloured linen decorated the bed, garnished with Nook Dee’s signature elephant plushie in Thai dress in between the pillows. The room ambience portrayed the concept of Thai-Simplicity, with a touch of Sino-Phuket as seen from the entrance to each room with its unique bright wooden panels.

At the end of room lies the balcony for viewing the sunset on Kata Noi Beach and Kata Beach.

I spent a lot of time taking scenic photos here while enjoying my beer with a view. I felt so at peace while watching the sunsets, it is almost as though the stress from the daily hustle and bustle had lift off and disappeared. The room’s convenient minibar offers drinks and snacks at a value price. After a long day of exploring, relieve your aches and sores in the spacious bathtub included in this superior room.

The resort also has its own in-house restaurant, named Roy Dee, which offers 3-course meals in the selection of local Thai, Phuket, seafood, western food and a special items menu.

The décor in the restaurant is very similar to the rooms. It is located a floor below the but the amazing view is still retained. Share a romantic dinner with your partner as both of you watch the sunset on Kata Beach.

For travellers who are not driving, the resort provides a shuttle service for our beach lovers right to the heart of Kata beach. Kata beach offers a variety of water activities from snorkelling to surfing. Surfers are populated at Kata beach during the monsoon season of May-October, remember to bring along water proofing gear if you want to take stunning photos by the beach.

For those who want to relax and take it a little slower, visit the spa at the resort. You may also want to check out the panoramic view from the rooftop bar after your relaxing massage and treatment.

In summary, I highly recommend the experience at Nook Dee Boutique Resort. The resort caters to all genres of travellers and the overall environment really sets your mind in a tranquil state.
