Diners get to choose from a vegetarian mezza, a kebab or stew main and a dessert of the day. Kash-E-Bademjan Mixture of sauteed eggplant, onion, mint, and Shabestan’s secret dressing. The bread, a naan, was delicious.  My idea of vegetarian dishes is that they are not filling but this mezza, made from eggplant, was quite filling. Beef Pasand Kebab (+$10) Beef fillet marinated in golden saffron, Persian herbs & olive oil The beef was so tender and it didn’t feel heavy at all.  It felt light and healthy.  The basmati rice was absolutely delicious. The simple salad was a great balance to the “light” beef. Dessert of the day (Saffron Ice Cream) Creamy, not too big a portion.  Just the right amount of sweet something for that indefinable final satisfaction. The best part of this executive set lunch is that you can pay an additional $40++ for a 2 hour free flow of house wines, prosecco, spirits and beers, and Shabestan indeed has a huge house pour menu including organic wine.
