It offers both a la carte and buffet-style options with a variety of cooking stations, make-your-own salad options, local temptations and international treats. There is an evening buffet (Sun – Thurs) focusing on local favourites. On weekends (Fri, Sat), there is an evening seafood buffet. On weekdays, Makan@Jen offers a good value-for-money lunch deal. For only $9.90, you get to enjoy local favourite dishes. When I was there, I tried the Shrimp Fried Rice. The serving was generous. The seasoning was done just right— neither too salty nor too bland. For an additional $5, you get to enjoy free flow appetiser or dessert. That is a great deal, considering that this is a hotel, in the middle of Orchard Road! I also tried the a la carte Salmon Fillet. The salmon is thick and fresh. The standout is the fries—- generous thick-cut potatoes fried to golden brown with a piping hot centre. With an unbeatable location, great deals and a brand new casual chic interior, this place sure fills up fast!
