Built and decorated in Victorian style, this hotel provides a welcome and atmospheric change from the aggressive modern commercialism of the rest of Macau.  The Victorian style extends to the rooms where the bed, paintings, lamps and bathroom furnishings all have character and extend the Victorian feel of the hotel. Extremely exclusive, there are only 72 rooms and they fill up easily. Being so pretty and by the waterfront, it is easy to understand why the hotel is sooooo popular for photo shoots.  There is always a photo shoot going on.  ALWAYS. It may be a bridal shoot or for some fashion magazine.  The spiral staircase with a beautiful  4-storey mural behind and suspended chandeliers on top is a to-die-for unofficial photo stop for all visitors to Macau. There is only one restaurant in the hotel——-  Vic’s.  It is a pleasure to sit on the terrace and enjoy the sea breeze and their popular afternoon tea. Right beside the hotel is Fisherman’s Wharf where you find trendy restaurants and pubs offering a wide variety of cuisines.  After dinner, one can of course take a lovely stroll along that waterfront. Babylon Casino is right beside the hotel.  Sands casino is right across the street where you can also find McDonald’s and KFC.
