The chic, casual decor features bright, cheery yellow as their signature colour.  There are also booths for more privacy.  An open kitchen provides a visual focal point and allows diners to see how clean the kitchen is. Though the decor is casual, the cuisine served up is absolutely top-notch and far exceeds what the decor might suggest. Burrata with Strawberry and San Marzano Tomatoes（120g）S$22 I am used to having burrata with the usual Parma ham and rucola.  Hence, pairing with tomatoes and strawberries is a welcome change.  You must drizzle some olive oil over this appetizer.  This greatly enhances this dish—– the olive oil binds the sugar and tartness of the strawberries and tomatoes and the milk solids of the burrata into one satisfying harmonious whole. Focaccia Di Recco with Parma Ham S$14 Goo Italiano informs me that the Focaccia Di Recco is lighter than pizza and indeed, it was.  I don’t usually like warm appetizers but as far as warm appetizers go, I think this one is about as excellent as they come.    The Focaccia Di Recco comes to your table beautifully baked; not a flake is out of place.  The colours are beautiful and appetizing.  The Focaccia Di Recco was warm.  Hence,  it felt very comforting.  The dough was light and most memorably,  it felt very fresh. Spaghettone with Lemon Cream S$18 This was heaven. I silently thought that at the very least,  this dish should earn the restaurant one Michelin star, though I personally would give Goo Italiano two Michelin stars for this dish.  The cream is light and with the lemon squeezed over the pasta, it was just heavenly.  Also,  Goo Italiano uses Gragnano pasta and it must be said, the Gragnano  pasta feels very fresh. Tokyo Style Lasagna S$20 The portion is small,  which I liked.  There are only a few layers, unlike Italian lasagne which is thicker. Since it is smaller and thin, it is not overly filling.  The really miraculous thing about this lasagne is that while it is reaaaaally creamy,  it feels also very light. Free Range Grass Fed Tenderloin (MB2-3) S$46 The tenderloin was grilled in a Josper Charcoal Grill specially imported from Spain.  The charcoal grill retains the moisture of the meat better.  Indeed,  the tenderloin was moist and very tender.  The red colour of the beef was absolutely beautiful.  The potatoes were very carefully executed.  Tiramisu S$12 Classic tiramisu.  Nothing wrong here. The service staff is energetic and competent.  Manager Miss Jamie’s warmness and unpretentious approachability was a standout.  Goo Italiano 35 North Canal Road #01-01 Singapore 059291 Tel: +65 6226 1182 Business Hours Lunch: 12:00pm to 14:30pm (L.O.14:30pm) Dinner: 17:30pm to 23:00pm (L.O. 22:30pm) Open：Mon – Sat  Close：Sun"}
