It is easy getting to and from JPO.<\/p>\n
You take the Singaporean subway MRT to Woodlands station. Head down to the bus station under the MRT station to take Bus 950 to cross into Malaysia. Or take the MRT to Kranji Station, cross the road using the overhead bridge and take Bus 170 to cross into Malaysia. Doesn\u2019t make a difference which route you take \u2013 both are equally convenient.<\/p>\n
Both buses will take you to the Singapore checkpoint. You get off the bus and get your passport checked. You re-board the bus to cross into Malaysia.<\/p>\n
At the Johor (Malaysia) checkpoint, you off the bus. You will not continue on this bus. <\/span><\/strong>Take the escalator up to get your passport stamped by Malaysian immigration.<\/p>\n Carry on walking to JB Sentral. <\/strong>If you see Starbucks or KFC, you have walked past JB Sentral. Turn back.<\/p>\n Brutally frank:<\/strong><\/p>\n At JB Sentral, keep your eyes open. The bus JPO1 which will take you to JPO, may be parked at Bay 1 or Bay 7 or even some other bay. I once attempted to make my way to JPO. There was a sign for Bus JPO1 at Bay 7 but after waiting past the stated departure time, it seemed the bus was parked at Bay 1 and had left, leaving myself and quite a few other passengers with a thwarted trip.<\/strong><\/p>\n The bus is air-conditioned and is clean and reasonably new.<\/strong><\/p>\n My bus from JB Sentral to JPO left 10 mins late than the stated time and took only 40 mins (against the stated 50-60 mins).<\/strong><\/p>\n My bus back from JPO left on the dot. I had to run a bit to catch up with the bus. The trip took 60 mins.<\/strong><\/p>\n The fare is RM4.50 one way. No change is given.<\/strong><\/p>\n Remember to take your passport.
