20160321 China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Pudong to Singapore
My flight to Singapore from Shanghai on China Eastern Airlines was a pleasant journey even though I was on the economy class.
The 2-3-2 seat configuration matches the standard adopted by most renowned international airlines and there is sufficient space for leg rest and to manoeuvre in the aisle.
As I lay back in the cosy seats and charged my phone with the USB port, I watched my favourite movies using the in-flight entertainment and the provided headphones.
Occasionally, an air stewardess politely interrupted my movie and served me food and drinks.
Operating mainly in Shanghai, China Eastern Airlines is China’s second-largest carrier by passenger numbers. It flies a fleet of more than 400 aircrafts that is used by 80 million travellers annually. As it strives to serve more international passengers from Asia, North America and Australia, it is also boosting its number of English-speaking crew.
