Hidden Secret Bistro/Cafe with luxe Scandi-Industrial Theme @ Bistro101, Singapore

You would never expect a foodie spot with the run-down Eunos Industrial Estate but Bistro101 is a beautiful oasis amidst the depressing industrial landscape.

Located right in between Paya Lebar and Eunos MRT and right next to the Hafary showroom (and accessible with a short walk on foot), Bistro101 is reminiscent of cafeterias of European companies and universities. The interior is clean and features a lot of wood, yet the dark colours and beautiful hanging lights give the bistro a luxe, beautiful feel.

Vegetarian Spring Roll $7.50

This is an excellent appetiser.  The skin is extremely crispy.  Since it is vegetarian. It is not too heavy. It pairs well with both 1664 Blanc and Hoegaarden beers.

1664 Blanc $11.25

Hoegaarden $10

Zuppa Di Vongole $20

The soup is rich, has a lovely colour and the clams are clean.  They considerately provide a bowl for you to put the shells in.  Lastly, the garlic bread is delicious — crusty and buttery and garlicky.

Pork Ribs in 101 BBQ Sauce $22.50

The meat falls easily for the bone.  The great find here is the BBQ sauce.  I like it because it is less sweet and cloy and most (American?) BBQ sauces.

Premium Grain-fed Ribeye Steak $32

I like Bistro101 because it is so quiet.  I see people discussing business deals when I was there.  I guess they chose this place for the conducive environment.
