Decker Barbecue, Singapore

Tucked away in a corner of Robertson Quay is Decker Barbecue which serves up authentic Texan Barbecue.  All their meat is smoked on site in Robertson Quay in a custom-built smoker from Dallas Texas.   The atmosphere is vivacious.

All meat is sliced to order and sold by weight.  That way, you can have as much or as little meat as you like,  though the restaurant recommends 200-300 grams of meat per person.

Brisket S$14/ 100g

Sliced beef brisket, the star of Texan barbecue

Burnt Ends S$14/ 100g

Kansas City-style charred brisket chunks

Spare ribs S$7/ 100g

Meaty pork ribs smoked with house dry rub

I highly recommend the (beef) burnt ends.  Very flavourful with nice char flavour.  The texture is the right toughness to work around in your mouth.

Coleslaw S$6

Tangy and refreshing, adobo-spiced cabbage slaw

Kale Salad S$10

Brussel sprout, parmesan, tahini dressing

There are also various sides.  The standout is the coleslaw,  which is unexpectedly light and refreshing.  A wonderful balance to the sating meat.

They serve beers and a couple of housepour wines to go with the meat.
