Gantang Festival (干塘节)

Soak yourselves in “Gantang” activities which involve 3 simple steps: drawing water from a fishpond until it is dry, cleaning the mud in them, and then catching the fish in it. The Xixi people do this annually to get healthy fishes for a scrumptious meal before Chinese New Year. Of course, you don’t really have to get soaked. Waterproof clothing are available at only 50 yuan per hour. What’s more, aquatic products that you catch do not incur an extra fee: you get them free!
