Gucun Park, Shanghai

Shanghai is not just about being a global financial hub and with dazzling city skylines. The green spaces in the metropolitan city are larger than many people expect.

Occupying a total area of 434 hectares, Gucun Park is core of Shanghai’s green ecology and the largest suburban park in the city. 

The park is mainly composed of 7 gardens – Exotic Garden, Forest Barbecue Garden, Suburban Forest Garden, Forest Stroll Garden, Children Carnival, Forest Sports Garden and Botanical Sightseeing Garden.

There are seasonal events throughout the year—- Winter (Plum Blossoms), Spring (Cherry Blossoms), Summer (Lotus Flowers) and Autumn (Osmanthus).  Most notably, Shanghai Blossom Festival is the biggest event ever held in Gucun park annually.
