Holy House of Mercy (Santa Casa Da Misericordia), Macau

Standing right in the centre of Macau, The Holy House of Mercy is a neo-classical building in Senado Square.  The Holy House of Mercy was founded by the first Bishop of Macau in 1569 and it is one of the region’s oldest institutions.  Still active today, The Holy House of Mercy adheres to the model of one of Portugal’s most important charitable organisations.

Admission: Adults – MOP$5; Students and adults over 65 years old – Free

Opening hours: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (closed on Mondays and public holidays)

Directions: You can take bus number 3, 3X, 4, 6A, 8A, 18A, 19, 26A, 33 or N1A and then get off at Almeida Ribeiro stop.
