Limited Time Shiok & Spicy Set @ Hey! Yakiniku, Singapore

Besides the new items tried during my recent visit to Hey! Yakiniku, I found that they also have limited time items that are simply astounding.

Shiok & Spicy Set $18.90

(Choice of Tom Yum or Spicy Bulgogi)

Japanese-style grilled meat with Thai or Korean spices.

This set is a perfect blend of Japanese-style grilled meat and bold Thai flavors.

The star of the show was undoubtedly the Tom Yum grilled meat. The Japanese-style grilled meat was cooked to perfection, with a tantalizing mix of smokiness and tenderness. What sets it apart is the infusion of Thai spices, giving it a unique and zesty twist that left me craving for more. The marriage of Japanese grilling techniques and Thai spices was a genius move, creating a flavor profile that was both familiar and refreshingly new.

The set also includes a side of kimchi and miso soup, adding depth and variety to the dining experience. The kimchi was crisp, tangy, and just the right amount of spicy, serving as a flavorful accompaniment to the main dish. The miso soup, with its rich umami broth and delicate balance of ingredients, complemented the boldness of the Tom Yum Bulgogi perfectly.

The Korean version was just as impressive.

The infusion of Korean spices created a symphony of flavors that was both spicy and savory. The balance was impeccable, showcasing a harmonious marriage between Japanese grilling techniques and the robustness of Korean seasoning.

In bother versions, the portion size of the prized meat was generous, ensuring a satisfying and fulfilling dining experience, even for die-hard meat-lovers.

I always order Asahi beer to accompany the grilled meat when I am here.  It is the perfect accompaniment.

Sapporo Beer $8.90

Upon the first sip, I was greeted by a clean and smooth taste that swept across my palate. The balance of malt sweetness and a subtle hop bitterness was impeccable, creating a harmonious symphony of flavors. What stood out was the beer’s remarkable clarity; each element could be discerned with precision, making it a pleasure to savor.

The mouthfeel was light and effervescent, making Sapporo a perfect companion for various occasions. Whether enjoyed on a warm summer day or as a crisp refresher after a long day’s work, this beer proved to be versatile and consistently satisfying.

The distinctive tall, slim bottle not only adds to the beer’s aesthetic appeal but also serves a practical purpose by preserving the freshness and preventing light exposure. It’s a thoughtful touch that complements the overall drinking experience.

As for the alcohol content, Sapporo strikes a good balance. It’s enough to provide a satisfying kick without overpowering the drinker, making it suitable for both casual and more formal settings.

In conclusion, Sappro bottled beer is a testament to Japanese brewing excellence. Its clean, crisp profile and meticulous craftsmanship
