MOJO, Kuala Lumpur

MOJO is at the end of a leafy row of shophouses called, well, The Row.

I tried their signature cocktail Mojorita (RM21).  A combination of Tequila, lime, mint leaves, and passionfruit, it looks good and tastes good.   This is a solid cocktail that can hold its own anywhere.

Love Bite (RM22) is colourful and fun!  With its cheerful stripes of yellow (banana liqueur), green (Midori), orange (orange juice) and red (red wine), and topped with a slice of orange, it reminds me of a beach drink.  Stressed out/ rebellious office workers from nearby should be able to find comfort in this.

Mojo Crispy Duck (RM33)

Succulent crispy duck served with plum sauce and chilli oil accompanied with julienned spring onion and cucumber, comes with homemade pancake wraps.

I love Peking duck, so I loved this one.  Take note, this is a DIY dish—- you wrap your roll yourself so you can adjust the sauces to your taste.

Sea Bass in Green Curry (RM39)

Fresh fillet of sea bass pan fried in lemon caper sauce served with mashed potatoes and green vegetables

The green curry sauce was amazing!

Spaghetti with Grilled Chicken

Look at those beautiful colours!  Light and healthy, this is excellent for executives who want to stay awake at their desk after lunch.

Granny Smith’s Apple Crumble (RM12)

Granny Smith apples baked and yet still preserving the crunchiness, a hint of cinnamon and spices, encased in a lovely pastry crust, expertly baked and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Of course, no self-respecting restaurant is without such time-honoured desserts.
