RED by Sirocco, Kuala Lumpur

Youthful, sexy, stylish, I guess that’s how many would see RED by Sirocco.

This is a new hotel that occupies a most advantageous location— it is sandwiches between a LRT (subway) station and a monorail station.  Both are just 5 mins by foot away.  There is a row of chic cafes and bistros called The Row which you will pass by if you walk to the monorail station.

The rooms are spacious.  The bedding have a quality high thread count feel to them. The pillows are thick, fluffy and firm.

There is a dedicated make-up area for ladies, complete with mirror (with lights), a stool, magnifying mirror and hair dryer.

The toiletries come in a colourful pack and you are encouraged to take the pouch home with you.

Ever stylish and international in outlook, they have provided a sleek espresso machine as well as a Chinese tea set.

Of course, they have not neglect the espresso capsules and Chinese tea packs.  These are replenished daily.

Beautiful art hang in the rooms, hallways and lobby.

Breakfast is provided on Level 25, next to the infinity pool which provides a panoramic, unblocked view of KL Tower.  Priceless!

Breakfast here is a fun affair.  Small plates of fried rice, fried wantons and croissants go round and round in a little conveyor belt like in a sushi bar.

These offerings are complemented by a live noodles station, a egg/ pancake station, bread and toaster, cold cut and cheese, cereal, fruit and a couple of hot items eg Roti Canai.

In the evening, the breakfast area transforms into Club Rouge, a rooftop bar.
