The Puteri Pacific, Johor Bahru

The Puteri Pacific is a hotel located in a prime location in Johor Bahru city. The hotel is just across the Straits of Johor from Singapore. A 10-15 min walk from Immigration, the hotel is also just a 5-min walk from City Square mall and Komtar JBCC mall.

The Puteri Pacific is a pretty standard hotel. The standard amenities are available. The Executive Deluxe roon offers a comfortable bed, a bath tub, a shower stall, toiletries, a safe and coffee and tea-making facilities. There are around 20 channels on the television, mainly free-to-air Malaysian and Singaporean channels. Depending on your room, you may get serene views of the Straits of Johor.

If you stay in an Executive Deluxe room, you have access to the pre-dinner cocktail in the Executive Lounge on the 16th floor, the highest floor. The pre-dinner cocktail offers a good spread. There was tandoori chicken, bread, fried mushrooms, fruit and dessert. There is also free flow of house pour wine and cocktails. All day long you also get free flow coffee, tea and soft drinks in the Executive Lounge. There is no afternoon tea however.

If you wish to dine in the hotel, there is an all-day dining restaurant, a Chinese restaurant and a Mediterranean restaurant. There are also plenty of very affordable dining options including Starbucks and McDonald’s just 5 mins away by foot in City Square Mall and Komtar JBCC mall.

The hotel also has a pretty good gym.
