Voyage Patisserie, decked out in classy white and blue, is a new French cafe situated one bus stop from Outram MRT, along the same row as Wangz Hotel.
Walking in, the blue of the ceiling and the green of the plants blend harmoniously against neutral white and grey.
Also, right by the door are absolutely enticing French pastries. They look so neat. I’m guessing they must have been meticulously handcrafted by Chef Jonathan.
Artigiana Burrata Salad S$20
Herb marinated burrata, French cured pork shoulder and salad
Neatly and carefully presented, this classic appetiser does not go wrong. As this is a classic appetiser, the flavours are time-tested and blend together harmoniously. The salad looks fresh and clean.
Steak and Egg Sandwich S$20
Grilled rump, butter brioche onions fondue, whole grain mustard and sunny side-up
This sandwich feels very authentic. I can definitely imagine having this in a bistro in Paris. The flavours are harmonious. Steak and onions can never go wrong.
Strawberry & Rhubarb S$15
Marinated Gariguette strawberries, rhubarb lightly confit, vanilla chantilly, strawberry and rose sorbet
Feminine, very pretty and slightly tart. The slight tartness refreshes me after the very substantial steak sandwich.
Dining here, the words that kept ringing in my head are “refined, classy, authentic”. This is a truly refined and classy modern French experience.
