Wild Wood Cafe, Singapore

Wild Wood Cafe is a friendly, new cafe-diner located in Wisteria Mall, Yishun.  I jokingly tell myself Wisteria Mall is where the Desperate Housewives from Wisteria Lane (remember them?  Eva Longoria, Teri Hatcher etc.) hang out.   Seriously,  the clientele is yuppies and young families. Baby chairs are available.

Though nestled in Singapore’s heartlands,  the kitchen has got a Aussie-Melbourne vibe to it.  The kitchen is industrial gorgeous.  As it is completely open (you see EVERYTHING being prepared), hygiene is absolute.  Relief……

Latte S$4.80 – hot; S$5.30 – cold

The latte is aromatic and delicious.

Chef signature crispy chicken served on homemade waffles with maple syrup

The chicken is very crispy without being at all greasy.  The waffles are only mildly sweet,  which is just nice.

Wild Rosey  S$12.80

Grilled brioche burger with chef creation soya sauce chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, monterey cheese, mixed salad with olive oil vinagrette and french fries

The savoury of the soy sauce chicken and the sweetness of the brioche bun balance each other out nicely.

Smoked Salmon Avocado Waffles S$12.80

Homemade waffle with smoked salmon and sliced avocado

One of the lighter options.

All the portions are huge and hence offer considerable value for money.
