Cha Lao Dim Sum, Johor Bahru

Cha Lao Dim Sum is a brand new restaurant right under Holiday Villa hotel and right beside KSL Shopping Mall.

The decor is brand new and chic.  There are Chinese lattices and a feature wall filled with China.  The restaurant chose an advantageous layout.  The tables are arranged along the length of the restaurant,  beside a row of glass panes which let in plenty of light.

Being new,  the wait staff all wear immaculate uniforms

All the usual dim sum items are there.   The best part is,  the dim sum is delivered in hand-pushed carts with steam billowing out of  them right to your table.   How’s that for a traditional experience right in a modern restaurant?

All the dim sum items taste authentic.  They have a couple of innovative items such as Thai-style Siew Mai and matcha Liu Sha Bao.  All the portions are reasonably large too.

All in all, authentic dim sum in a very pleasant environment.
