MGM, Macau

The location and finale of America’s Next Top Model Cycle 18, MGM Macau is a beacon of style in the Macau skyline. The hotel is a 154 meter tall, five-star hotel resort that reaches towards the sky, while its glass exterior reflects the hues of the South China Sea and the dwell of the ocean turf.

From the decor right to the service, MGM Macau prides itself on its fine attention to detail.  Inspired by the arts, every element of the hotel is infused with a sense of creativity and style.

The hotel houses 582 luxurious rooms. The Grand Deluxe Ocean View room is truly resplendent, vogue and chic.  The decor is modern luxury. The rooms vary from 48 square meters to 66 square meters (the rolling camber of the wave changes the size and shape of each room).  They are huge!

As the hotel is right on the waterfront, wake up every morning to a truly awe-inspiring sight. A clear view of the blue ocean sets these rooms apart – offering you a vantage point unlike any other to be seduced by Macau’s natural majesty.

The bathroom is huge.  There is a huge bathtub from which you can still watch television.  The shower stall and toilet are separated which is very convenient in case two people need to use them at the same time. the toiletries bottles generously-sized.

They also have a generous 46” LED television, with cable and movie channels. The mini-bar is free and stocked with  soda and beer!

MGM Macau is definitely much more than a gambling destination.  The hotel is an active and generous patron of the arts.  There are authentic art pieces everywhere, including the stunning “Valkyrie Octopus” art installation by renowned Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos. The hotel also organises art exhibitions such as the “Saudade” Art Exhibition featuring 40 artworks by 12 local Portuguese artists.  Also, an exciting family destination, the hotel has an ice-cream bar which is popular with families.

Among its many distinguishing features, there is the European-inspired Grande Praca, housed under a stunning glass ceiling. the hotel also houses 8 signature restaurants and bars to fulfil the most discerning taste buds. Connected to the hotel is of course a beautiful casino and One Central, an upscale mall with the most discerned luxury brands.

A work of art all on its own, MGM Macau is the destination for world-class entertainment and style.  If it’s good enough for Tyra Banks, it’s good enough for me!
