SaLe Marino, Singapore

Nestled in the residential neighborhood of Bedok South is the 3-month-old Italian restaurant SaLe Marino.

The interior is pretty no frills and has a subtle sea-faring theme,  since the restaurant’s name means sea salt.

Frutti di Mare S$24.80

Linguine with assorted seafood in choice of Aglio Olio, White Wine or Marinara style

The seafood Aglio Olio is very flavourful and the seafood is fresh.

Carbonara S$20.80

Linguine tossed in crispy bacon, egg, parmigiano and a light touch of chilli

The Carbonara is delicious without being overly creamy and sickening.  It arrived with an irresistible aroma.  It must also be said that both pasta dishes were cooked to al dente perfection.

Bistecca S$32.80

Grain-fed Ribeye dry brined and dry aged.  Served with mustard and sea salt.

This is an affordable, fun plate of semi-luxury.  The steak and potatoes were executed very well and they looked beautiful.

All in all,  SaLe Marino is an interesting place to check out and offers decent value for money.
