My Sweet Hut, Johor Bahru

My Sweet Hut is a very popular cafe.  I went on Friday during lunchtime and it was full house.    They have only recently celebrated their 2nd anniversary and did a facelift to their restaurant.  The atmosphere is warm and homely.

My Sweet Hut is also a bakery.  Their breads are put for sale at the front of the shop.

Ice-Lemon Tea

Look at the attention to detail!  They put 2 slices of lemon in the drink and used 1 more slice as decoration.  Very generous!

Mushroom Soup RM$10.90

The garlic bread that comes with the soup was most excellently executed.  The soup, made from abalone, shitake and enoki mushrooms, was an interesting change from most mushroom soups made from button mushrooms.

Signature Rosemary Chicken RM$17.90

Each component on this plate was excellently executed. The star, rightly so, was the chicken.  Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, it was most delicious.

Black Olive Fried Rice with Grilled Salmon RM$18.90

The salmon was excellent——- grilled to a light crisp yet still most on the inside.  The long bean bits added crunch to the fried rice.

Mixed Seafood Aglio RM20.90

The spaghetti is a delicious savoury umami.  They are quite generous with the seafood.

MSH Sweet-treats (Strawberry Shortcake) RM$15.90

Delicious and fresh cream and fresh fruit is an unbeatable evergreen pairing.
