Renaissance, Johor Bahru

After staying at the Renaissance Jonor Bahru a year ago, I was pleased to be checking into this hotel again.

Situated in the township of Permas Jaya, close to the city centre of Honor Bantu and a short drive from the Eastern Dispersal Link (EDL) leading directly to the CIQ to Singapore, and North South Highway, the hotel is also close to the port and industrial area of Pasir Gudang.

For leisure and relaxation, the hotel features an outdoor swimming pool and a 24-hr gym. The gym is also open to the public to join as a member.

I am pleased that the hotel remains as spotlessly clean as it was the first time I was here.

The service remains friendly and impeccable. Housekeeping always greets you as you pass them in the corridors.

I am heartened to see that the Club Lounge has improved its offering during its Cocktail hour. When I was here a year ago, the hot dishes were fried —— samosas, fried chicken wings, fried noodles etc. It was hard to have much food when everything is fried. Now, they have Pasta Carbonara, Seafood and Bell Pepper among the hot dishes.

Besides the evening cocktails from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, the lounge also offers:

Complimentary All Day Grab & Go from 6.00am to 12 midnight.
Day long Afternoon Tea from 10.30am to 5.30pm

With an excellent product, impeccable service and a convenient location, Renaissance Jonor Bahru remains a top hotel in this town.
