The Anvil-shaped Peak Tower has a large viewing platform called Sky Terrace 428. There are also Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, dining and retail outlets. Just a stone’s throw away, The Peak Galleria offers a free-entry observation deck, in addition to countless shopping and dining options. If you cannot get enough of the breath-taking view, head over to Lugard Road Lookout and Lions Point View Pavilion. Take the 3.5km Peak Circle Walk if you wish to enjoy unfolding vistas at your own pace.
The Peak Tram
The Peak Tram has served Hong Kong for 120 years, quietly witnessing the city’s changes, preserving its history and heritage in The Peak Tram Historical Gallery located at Lower Terminus. Visit the gallery and journey down a path that locals look back on with nostalgia; foreign visitors will experience an insightful history lesson of the reputable Pearl of the Orient.
Getting there
There are 3 routes to The Peak.
1. Hop on bus 15C from Central Pier 8 or walk from MTR Central Station. Take exit J2 to take the Peak Tram from the Peak Tram Lower Terminus on Garden Road.
2. Take bus 15 from Exchange Square bus terminus (near MTR Hong Kong Station, Exit D)
3. Travel by minibus 1 from the public transport interchange at MTR Hong Kong Station, Exit E.
