Wang Sai Seafood, Krabi

Coconut shake – it has real bits of coconut albeit sans milk unlike the usual fruit shake.

Pineapple and cashew fried rice

This definitely needs more pineapple and cashews to give it more oomph and make it much more satisfying.  It has just a couple of mouthfuls of the fruit and cashews.  It needs more protein too.    Quite disappointing.  It is fried with curry powder which makes it different from the other pineapple and cashew fried rice I have tried though.

Steamed squid with chilli and lemon juice

This was a delight initially in its simplicity.  However, beyond the first bites, the simplicity backfires. There simply isn’t enough complexity nor layers of flavour to sustain the surprise and pleasure.

This has a lot of garlic.

Brutally frank:

Though probably a big player in town (the restaurant also has a tour office subsidiary onsite), there are countless other places offering better food and better value.  Plus, you don’t have to put up with the occasional whiff of sludge as it is located at the end of Nopparat Thara Beach.
