Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, Singapore

Wolfgang’s Steakhouse offers quality right by Singapore River.   It is located in Intercontinental Robertson Quay,  which is upstream from and quieter, more refined than the party-hungry Clarke Quay.

Wolfgang’s Steakhouse is not to be confused with Wolfgang Puck.  With 19 restaurants around the world, this is a veritable global brand on its own.  Drawing on 4 decades of experience in top New York steakhouses, founder Wolfgang Zwiener opened his first steakhouse in NYC’s Park Avenue in 2004. Since then, the international brand has become synonymous with serving only the finest quality dry-aged 28-day USDA Prime Black Angus Beef.

The dining room though small, was more than half-filled on a Friday afternoon.  They are mostly business people with the odd Japanese expat family in the mix.  The waiters are immaculate and their uniforms looked clean.

For first timers to Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, they might want to try the Wolfgang experience menu.

Seafood Taster

Tuna Tartar, Lobster Salad, Jumbo Shrimp Salad

The lobster was fresh.  So was the prawn.  The tuna tartar wasn’t bad.  All in all,  a solid starter.

Soup of The Day

The soup is rich!

USDA Prime Petit Filet Mignon

As this is a steakhouse,  the star,  rightly so,  is the steak.  The steak is perfection!  Big, thick but tender,  it comes to your table cut up and SIZZLING!  The waiter then transfers to your own plate which they have considerately warmed up for you.

Dessert of The Day

Tiramisu

I’m glad the dessert was a small portion, unless some American restaurants where the dessert was as big as the main course.  What useless calories.  This tiramisu tasted as it should.

Try to get a table overlooking Singapore River.
