Chi Kinjo is the third restaurant by Coterie Concepts and serves highballs and mod-Japanese cuisine.

Hamachi Carpaccio

Thinly sliced yellowtail sashimi with truffle

The aroma of truffle was just heavenly. 

Sashimi Ceviche

South America ceviche with the twist of Japanese sashimi

Probably the best of the items I tried.  The crunch of the prawn cracker against the salmon and lightness of the avocado is a wonderful contrast.

The Kaffir Lime Karrage

Pickled pearl onions, red pepper dip

Shiso Sake.  Watermelon Juice. Calanmansi.  Simple Syrup. Lemon Juice

Light, fruity, refreshing, perfect after a hot day at work.

Tanqueray. Ginger. Mint Leaves. Simple Syrup. Lime Juice. Gingerbeer

Another refreshing, invigorating cocktail.

Smoked Striploin Steak

Black garlic onion cream, Umami soy reduction, Pickled mushrooms, Sunchoke chips

The wagyu was so tender and just melt in your mouth. 

80S Spicy Tuna Roll

Tuna with spicy sauce and Bonito flakes

Salmon & Foie Gras

I love nigiri and all the nigiri lived up to my expectation.  They all had strong flavours which grip you.  The same can be said for the maki too. 

Chi Kinjo brings together two things which I like- mod-Japanese cuisine and whisky,  so why not?
